About
Stock research with its methods in public.
Tenet runs published value playbooks nightly across US stocks. Every number carries the date it was computed and the rule it met. Built in Toronto.
Who runs it
Sid Verma
Founder · Data scientist, Toronto

I have spent more than ten years in data science, building production machine learning at a US bank, a health insurer and a large retailer: fraud detection, anomaly detection and experiment measurement. I am currently a lead data scientist at a US-based product and consulting startup, and hold a master’s in business analytics from the University of Minnesota.
I built Tenet because I have a keen interest in research-driven investing, the math and the signals behind it, and believe retail investors deserve the same quality of research as professionals, at a price that is fair to them.
I am not a licensed financial adviser and Tenet gives no personal advice.
What Tenet is, and is not
Tenet is research and education; it gives no buy, sell or hold signal and no personalized recommendation.
It is
- Published value playbooks, run nightly across US stocks, listing every name that passes with the numbers that got it there.
- A Tenet Score on every stock, with a report that shows the math behind it.
- ETF, compare, screener and portfolio tools that each show the figures they used.
It is not
- A buy, sell or hold signal on any security.
- Personalized advice, or a recommendation shaped to your situation.
- A judgment about a particular company made by a person at Tenet.
How the numbers are made
Prices and fundamentals come from licensed market-data vendors, credited by name in the footer at the bottom of this page. Analytics and the Tenet Score are computed by Tenet from that data.
The method is version-controlled
Every formula, threshold and screen rule lives in version control, and a change is committed and timestamped before it can affect a published number.
The recompute is unattended
The nightly job that applies those rules runs on a schedule, with no one selecting outcomes between the data and the page.
Every figure is dated
A number on a report carries the date it was reported or computed, so a reader can tell a fresh figure from a stale one without asking.
No per-name human discretion
Scores and screen membership are computed by a systematic model from published criteria. Names leave publication through mechanical evidence and hygiene rules that apply identically to every security, never through a judgment about a particular company.
The formulas, the exact screen criteria and the ledger’s anti-bias rules are written out in the methodology, and the conflicts regime in independence and conflicts.
Who writes the words
I write the product, the methodology and the reports. The sentence beside a number is written by the person who wrote the rule that produced it.
Errors go to support@tenetinvesting.com. A correction is made on the page that carried the error, and the correction is dated there.
